Yep! Crookshanks has been around (http://alt-terry.dreamwidth.org/3282.html) for awhile (http://alt-hermione.dreamwidth.org/2808.html), though I'm not sure when he was first mentioned.

He was petrified last year instead of Mrs. Norris. (http://alternity.dreamwidth.org/32732.html?thread=393436&style=light) I don't think they ever said so explicitly, but I assumed he made a full recovery like the rest of the victims.
