Date: 2015-09-03 04:08 am (UTC)I now have headcanon that on that first visit to Lucius and Narcissa, on the Riviera, Draco tried telling the story of How he Flew a Dragon, Hermione was half-engaged in a side conversation, heard just enough to realize Draco was telling That Story and reflexively shut him down. Conversation stopped while everyone waited for Lucius to get shirty...and he just looked at Draco and said, 'Well, she's right. Dragons do rather go where they want to go.'
And everyone relaxed considerably thereafter.

(And Snape's memorial to Flitwick, further down the thread!)

Date: 2015-09-04 12:04 pm (UTC)It was right at the tail end of the demonstration duel between Tosha and Raz in Y5, and I thought it was just this beautiful stark reminder of what they'd be up against.
